Description

The UniFi Switch Flex Mini is a compact 5-port Layer 2 managed Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for simple and efficient network expansion in homes, small offices, and workspaces. With its minimal footprint measuring just 107 x 70 x 21 mm and weighing only 150g, this desktop switch delivers reliable wired connectivity without the complexity of larger enterprise switches. This managed switch features five 1 GbE RJ45 Ethernet ports supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps connections with a 10 Gbps switching capacity and 5 Gbps non-blocking throughput. The device delivers a forwarding rate of 7 Mpps and supports up to 1,000 VLANs with a MAC address table of 2,000 entries. Key Layer 2 features include flow control, storm control, port isolation, port mirroring, jumbo frames, and egress rate limiting. Power flexibility is a key advantage with dual power options: USB Type-C using the included 5V 1A adapter or 802.3af PoE through port 1. Maximum power consumption is only 2.5W, making it highly energy efficient. The fanless design ensures silent operation, perfect for desktop environments where noise is a concern. Management is handled through the UniFi Network Application (version 5.12.5 or higher) via Ethernet in-band connection, enabling centralized monitoring, configuration, and firmware updates alongside other UniFi devices. The switch supports an operating temperature range of -5°C to 45°C and includes ESD protection rated at ±16 kV (air) and ±12 kV (contact). The durable polycarbonate enclosure and compact form factor make it ideal for extending Ethernet connectivity at the network edge while maintaining a clean workspace.
